Situated in the Western Caroline Islands, Yap is made up of 138 islands and atolls spanning more than 100,000 square miles of total area. Yap proper, where the State Capital, Colonia can be found, has a total of 49.7 square miles. Yap is blessed with a rich and uniquely traditional culture emblematic of the warmth and hospitality of our people.
