The Department of Resources and Development is a branch of the Government of the State of Yap. It comprises of five divisions: Agriculture, Commerce and Industry, Land Resources, Marine Resources and the Workforce Enrichment Division. The Department is currently headed by Michael Gaan. The Department's Mission as spelled out in our Mission Statement is to support and advance, through sustainable sound management of limited resources, the economic development and self-suficiency of the State of Yap. Our Goal is to foster and facilitate the overall sustainable economic development efforts of the State of Yap consistent with the development aspirations of our private and public sectors.
